[MSL] Sarawak vs Terengganu

Terengganu will be joyful to entertain Sarawak today as they know Sarawak will be missing their influential defender Gabor Gyepes.

The Hunggarian is out on for this tie due to a suspension as he has collected three yellow cards.

His place will be taken by Hairol Mokhtar, who will work with the ever reliable Ronny Harun and Ramesh Lai, with both Dzulazlan Ibrahim and Mafry Balang eyeing the key spot on the right of the team. The four players which were prominent last season, did well for the Crocs and one can expect them to rekindle that awesome defense line when they take on Márcio Souza and Norfarhan Mohamad of Terengganu.

But the back line under Ronny would have to be very wary as the dynamic duo of Marcio and Norfarhan adds depth with the likes of midfielder Ismail Faruqi. The trio had amassed eight goals so far with Farhan setting seven out of the total 13 goals scored. The good news is that Ismail may not feature in this game after our scouts reveal that he has collected three yellow cards, and should be serving a suspension like Gabor.

But the Terengganu side is more than just pure attacking flair.

Their defence line is one of the best in the league currently, with only six leaks from nine games so far. This amazing record should be good enough a motivation for the likes of Ryan Griffith and Hassan Mohamad to try their very best to penetrate the rock solid visitors goal.

Vincent Bikana, Azlan Zainal, Ahmad Nordin Alias and Mazlizam Mohamad are regulars in the defence line, and we do not see this changing anytime soon.

This would mean that S Chanturu and Joseph Kalang may need to work extra hard with Mohd Lot and Junior Eldstal to open room for their attackers, while they try their best to dictate what could be a very packed midfield owned by Terenganu.

In addition to that, the pressure is definitely on Sarawak’s new strikers, Ryan and Hassan because the duo have yet to score since their arrival on the 23rd March and fans are getting impatient with the low scoring rate of the team this season.

Despite that however, the crowd at Stadium Negeri tonight will still come in droves as they home fans hope the Crocs would find the perfect tonic to win at home again.
