Re-surging Sarawak FA face ‘giant killer’ PKNS FC today in what could be one of the most interesting game in the Super League yet.
Both teams have created upset results this week with PKNS making headlines by going on a winning streak at the expense of giant teams such as Kelantan, JDT, ATM and Terengganu in their previous games.
Despite considered underdogs at the beginning of the Super League, Wan Jamak’s men are starting to make other Super League teams pay attention to them as their midfilders continue to supply quality passes which Partick Ronaldinho and co has converted in style.
Indonesian Hamka Hamzah in particular has been impressive for the Selangor club side with the tenacious defensive midfielder cum defender creating not less than three goals since he played for PKNS.
Another dangerous player within PKNS is Nazmi Faiz whom can dictate the pace of the game when in-form, although Sarawak defenders would need to be extra wary of overlaps by speedy P. Gunalan which could catch any defenses off guard.
Opposing Sarawak FA would need to work hard against Wan Jamak’s very disciplined team, but Robert Alberts has revealed that he is confident that his boys would get a favorable result at Stadium Selayang, which many have already dubbed as ‘a home away from home’ for the Crocs.
With injuries and uncertainties plaguing the Sarawak camp, Sarawak would be set to make several interesting changes in their midfield and strike force with our internal scouting team courtesy of UltraCrocs revealing that they would prefer Reesyafiq Alwi boasting the midfield in the possible absence of Joseph Kalang who is still injured.
Sarawak’s goalkeeping position is assured a change with Fadzley Rahim likely to get the nod for the job between the post while first choice goalkeeper Sani Anuar attends to his red card suspension.
Both Sarawak and PKNS would be eager to win this game to keep their momentum in the league, but we think there would be a possibility that both teams would eventually cancel out each other with the defenders keeping the score low.
OUR BIASED PREDICTION: PKNS FC 1-1 SARAWAK FA
