Mark Hartmann was delighted he had found the back of the net last night, scoring from inside the box to not only give him his second goal in the Malaysian League, but also helping his side win their first match of the season.
Speaking to us after the match, Mark said head coach David Usop stressed to him and his teamates about the importance of the match, and that it was crucial for them to win the full points against Pulau Pinang FA.
Mark further added that the team had a look at the league table before the game, and was told that there was only one option when they play against lower ranked teams in the league such as Pulau Pinang FA.
When asked about his goal scoring target, Mark refused to increase his 15 goal target for the season, but said that he would take one game at the time and hope to surpass that target as soon as possible.
Mark is a new signing at Stadium Negeri, but he is instantly showing his worth for the team based in Kuching, having scored two goals from four matches.
