The hottest commodity in Kuching now is probably the Sarawak FA vs Sime Darby FC Malaysia Cup quarter final tickets with daily quotas finished within minutes at numerous ticketing outlets.
Sold since Sunday, the tickets have also gave some irresponsible people instant profits as they are reported to go for as high as RM100 for a mere RM10 ticket.
It was reported that at 830am alone today, some 100 people were already queuing up at Lea Sports Centre Hopoh to purchase tickets after the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) announced that tickets would only be sold up to Friday afternoon due to security reasons.
Checks this morning at Hopoh also revealed that fans were already shouting ‘Open! Open!’ at the outlet despite the time of operation scheduled at 10AM, with some cutting queue to be first in line.
Numerous minor incidents were also reported to have happened at the ticketing counters as frustrations and disappointment showed at ticketing outlets when the daily quota was reached.
The Borneo Post today reported that there are still 5000 tickets left for purchase, with the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) selling up to 21,000 tickets.
