The Liga Serian 2024 will start this coming 22 July with 16 teams eyeing for the championship.
The opening match will involve 2023 Serian League champion SPPC FC and Serian FA Cup winners X Movent, with the winning team automically winning the Charity Shield.
The first match will be played at the Serian Sports Complex, with the match also awarding league points to the Liga Serian.
For 2024, the league will retain last season’s format, with participating football teams devided into four groups.
The top two teams in each group will automatically qualify for the quarter finals.
Media reports share that Group A of this year’s Liga Serian consist of Holdfast, Anhex FC, Medic and N21 Tebedu while Group B features the likes of X-Movent, BB Unuted, Black Rovers and Taee Union.
Group C will see Semabang Unity, TBS 23, MK FC and Balai Ringin FC pitting each other, while Group D involves Saga XSYG, Gedong Unity, SP FC and GKMS.
Except for the opening match between SPPC FC and X Movent, all matches are schdeuled on Saturday and Sunday at the Serian Sports Complex.
