Liga Premier: Floodlight issue force Sarawak FA to change venue

Sarawak FA will be short of one home game this season as their supposedly home match against JDT II this 22nd May has been moved to Majlis Perbandaran Pasir Gudang Stadium, which is technically an away venue.

The announcement of the change in venue was made by the official Southern Tigers page which cited that the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) had request the change.

It was further elaborated by the page that the original venue, which is Stadium Negeri, was not suitable for the match as floodlights at the stadium have yet to be rectified.

Adding to the woes of the stadium was the pitch condition which was cited as ‘not suitable’.

The post also confirmed that JDT II has agreed to the change in venue.

With the change, the Ramadhan time match would now kick off at 10PM on the same scheduled date.

It is also worth to note that both FAS and Malaysia Football League, the organizers of the Liga Premier, had yet to release any official announcement about the change in venue at writing time.
