Latest foreign players for The Cats arriving in a few days

The latest foreign players for Kuchicg City, known to us as The Cats, will be arriving in Kuala Lumpur on 2 January 2022.

According to local media reports, the four players from Timor Leste, Serbia Uzbekistan, and Burundi are expected to go for their medical in the capital before flying down to Kuching to join their teammates for training on January 4th.

The news of their arrival and schedule was revealed to local media by the team’s head coach, Irfan Bakti in a recent report.

For the record, the Cats have decided to retain two of their foreign players, with both Yuki Tanigawa and Abu Kamara retained by the Kuching based side for their debut in the Liga Super next season.

Kuching City earned promotion to the Liga Super next season after the Malaysia Football League decided to scrap the Liga Premier next season and re-organize the Malaysian League.

Despite that, The Cats nonetheless earned their place in the Liga Super as they also finished second among teams that are able to gain promotion from the Liga Premier this season, despite coming in third in the overall standings.
