A last minute goal by S. Chanturu killed off Kuching FA’s hopes in the Piala FA today.
Faced against mighty Felda United, many had already written Kuching off the competition, but Kuching fans were hopeful miracles will happen.
And for the 90 minutes of play, it seemed like Kuching will likely be able to do a huge upset as they kept both sides equal on score.
However, when it mattered most, Chanturu gave Felda passage to the next round by slotting in the winning goal.
The goal came three minutes into injury time, enough for the visitors to crush any hope of a Kuching fight back.
The match was balanced and Kuching threatened Felda on numerous occasions. However, poor finishing punished the amateur side which played their heart out.
Kuching were considered outsiders in the Piala FA but pulled some impressive wins and surprises as they advance to the second round of the competition.
