Super League side Kuching City FC failed to collect any points from Likas yesterday despite scoring three goals during their match against Sabah FC.
The Cats were initially trailing in the first half of the match with Sabah able to score two goals courtesy of Sadil Ramdani and Ramon Manchado in the 12th and 27th minute.
Kuching City pulled one back in the 55th minute through Amir Amri Salleh but remained two goals apart in the 58th minute from the home side when Stuart John put in the home-side’s third goal.
Visiting Kuching City increased their effort on Sabah’s goal from then on and were handsomely rewarded with two more goals from their ace striker Abu Kamara.
With six minutes left on the official clock, Kuching seemed certain to secure at least one point against Sabah but Ramon yet again found the back of the net for the Rhinos in the dying minutes of the match to give the home side the full three points for the night.
The defeat pulled Kuching City down to 13th in the league standings while their rivals, Sabah, gained one rank higher to sit at 4th.
