A brief interview, which was really unplanned with Sarawak trail-list Rashid Aya (left above) tonight revealed some reasons why the Johor born player is now back in Kuching to try his luck for the Crocs.
After a short stint with the Crocs last year, the young striker is back after one year playing for his state team, Johor FA.
According to Rashid, his arrival in Kuching this time is with hopes that he would be able to impress Robert Alberts, and finally sign with Sarawak yet again.
The good looking Rashid also stated that the Sarawak fans were key to him wanting to return, noting that fans in Sarawak were simply amazing when it comes to backing the team. Rashid also mentioned that he was dismayed that his one year stint in Sarawak a year ago was marred by a thigh injury, and that he was looking forward to scoring more goals shall the Crocs decide to sign him
Rashid has so far impressed in the trails with him scoring two goals in a friendly game arranged for the team. The 23-year old is expected to fly back to Johor tomorrow, and shall know his fate with the Sarawak team in coming weeks.
