Liga Super side Melaka United scored two goals in the first half of Sarawak FA’s final pre-season match in Stadium Hang Jebat to be in the lead of the game.
Melaka controlled much possession in the game which saw Sarawak relaying on counter attacks to break the deadlock.
In the 22nd minute, Darko Markovic made no mistake to power a powerful shot on goal to give the home side the openig goal of the match.
Two minutes later import player Casagrande doubled the score for the home team to put the game even further from Sarawak’s reach.
Sarawak almost scored their maiden goal of the night through a set piece but Melaka keeper Shukor Adan tipped it out for a fruitless corner.
In the second half, Darko doubled his tally of goals in the game in the early minutes of the game to put the home side further ahead in the game.
Sarawak made more changes in the game to improve their performances but Melaka held to their lead until the final whistle.
