Kuching FA needed a penalty shoot out to secure their place in the next stage of the Piala FA.
The City of Unity and Armed Forces FC were stuck with a goalless stalemate in Stadium Negeri until the full time with both sides unable to score.
After also a goalless extra time, Kuching emerge winners by winning the shoot out 4-2.
Some 1,000 fans turned up at Stadium Negeri to watch Kuching play.
The win meant Kuching advances to the next round of the Piala FA.
