Kuala Lumpur, 10 November 2015 – Bastian Schweinsteiger, Thomas Müller, Mesut Özil and German Rap-Superstar Cro introduced the new home kit of the German national football team for the UEFA EURO 2016™, today in Berlin, Germany.
During a concert in front of 700 young fans at Football Base, the Berlin Football-Location of DFB general supplier adidas, the players revealed the new home kit of the world champions together with the panda-masked rapper, Cro.
The classic black and white look of ‘Die Mannschaft’ will capture attention at the tournament in France. A white jersey matched with black shorts and socks will create a timeless outfit which fans of all generations are able to associate with the national team.
The front of the jersey shows a “Success Barcode” graphic which represents the titles and successes of the team at the previous World and European Championships. In addition, the years of these famous victories are imprinted on the sleeves.
For the first time, the famous adidas three stripes are not on the sleeves, but rather on both sides. The seams are decorated in black, red and gold details.
Moreover, adidas has also designed a slim and feminine variation of the jersey for women.
The new kit will receive its on-pitch debut this Friday, 13th November, during the friendly game against France in Paris.
