Interim Sarawak head coach, Fuad Grbersic is reported to have opened playing opportunities to younger Sarawakian players to join his squad.
According to reliable sources, Fuad is looking at strengthen the squad with a few ‘Sarawak made’ players, hence making the squad feature more local Sarawak players than ever. The source further elaborated that Fuad was keen in giving the younger Sarawakian players more play time as he plans for a winning start for the Crocs.
A football fan page, Shoot Sampei Bisak Net Tiang Gol Ya (SSBNGTY) was also quoted as saying that a few players from the President and Youth teams have also been called up to join Sarawak with Youth squad captain Syazwan Busrah said to be the highlight of the crop.
Others also listed by the page are Hafis Saperi (President Cup Squad), Mohd Aliff Hassan (President Cup Squad), Syazani Zakaris (Youth squad), Yazid Andzhar (Youth squad), and goalkeeper Florian Rison (President Cup Squad).
Unlike the rest of the new youthful call-ups, Florian (photo) was previously identified to be drafted into the senior squad but was dropped without reason before the season started.
