FPL announce changes for 2024/2025 season

Fantasy Premier League, best known as FPL among it’s players, yesterday announced a few changes to the new season of 2024 / 2025.

Among the most interesting and long awaited change is the possibility of making more than two free transfers every week. This is possible as FPL will now allow a manager to collect a maximum of five free transfers to be used once.

This means unused free transfers from a consecutive five weeks can be collected to be used onced, almost mimicing a wild card option.

Aside from that, saved transfers will no longer reset to zero when you play the Wildcard or Free Hit chips. This is an important and powerful combination especially for managers who think ahead of the rest when it comes to transfers and fixtures.

FPL will also introduce a “Mystery Chip”, which will definately take the fantasy game to a whole new level of unpredictability. The new mystery chip will be introduced and would be playable in January 2025, perhaps being a lifeline for those who need a change of fortune after the all important boxing day fixtures.

The game would also introduce a new pitch design and player cards which are visual and informative to make playing the fantasy league more enjoyable.

In terms of points, goalkeeper now get 10 points for every goal they score. A 4 points jump from the previous 6 they get.

Last but not least, the Bonus Points System (BPS) will also get a makeover with the changes aimed to reward a wider range of player actions.

With the English Premier League kick-off just around the corner, the excitement over FPL is definately building up with the new changes hence making next season, a season any FPL manager anticipates.
