Felda United which was held by Sarawak last Saturday were shocked to learn that their head coach, Irfan Bakti, would be leaving the team at the end of the season.
The experienced coach was reported to have informed his team of the decision after the Felda United-Sarawak FA game last Saturday, with many, including players, left in shocked.
Irfan who has led Felda for three years, has also made a firm decision to not reconsider his decision, or any other offers made to him by the Felda United management, although it was reported that he is currently being sought after by a team from the East Coast.
Felda United has had fantastic seasons under Irfan, with the team dubbed as ‘The Fighters’ being involved in title races with star-studded Johor Darul Ta’zim.
The announcement of Irfan means that the Fighters will be looking out for a new coach for the coming 2017 season.
