SarawakCrocs today learned that there has been a new update on the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) presesidency.
According to a close source to us, YB Abdullah Haji Saidol has decided to decline the post of FAS President, hence leaving the post vacant once again. We were told that Abdullah can still decline the post as he has not been formallly appointed.
Abdullah was said to have recently accepted the post, but would only become the new president in three month (next year).
Utusan Borneo today had elaborated that Abdullah had admitted he also accepted the nomination in the first place, but decided to decline after considering all factors.
Abdullah’s appointment was highly supported by the football fan base on Sarawak, although many do not seem to favour the fact that he supports Manchester United.
