FAM waiting for Sarawak to settle Syahrul’s case

While Syahrul and the whole Sarawak squad camp in Vietnam beginning today, the management of the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) has been ‘nudged’ to submit proof of the former Harimau Muda player.

According to Vice Chairman of Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) Status Committee, Abdul Aziz Yeop, the Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) has sent in their affidavits and they are waiting for FAS to do the same.

He further noted that FAS has until today to submit proof of their claims that the signing of Syahrul was made in accordance to the law.

The controversy surrounding Syahrul started when KAFA President Daruk Annuar Musa claim Syahrul and FAS had went behind KAFA’s back to sign the youngster when FAM rules cite that all Harimau Muda players released from the national side must return back to their respective states.

FAS has argued that they went through the correct channels and Syahrul has since been introduced as part of the Crocs, and is now in Vietnam to join Sarawak’s pre-season preparations.
