The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has confirmed that Syarul Azwari will not be able to play for the Crocs.
This comes despite the fact he has signed a two year contract with the team based in Kuching recently.
According to FAM’s acting president Datuk Seri Affandy Razali Hamzah, Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) has nothing to worry about because FAM has yet to approve the transfer for Syahrul to Sarawak.
Affandy added that once an attempt to sign the player happens, it will be automatically blocked.
Meanwhile, Sarawak Secretary General Abdullah Julaihi in local papers have insisted that they did nothing wrong and signed Syahrul according to the right channels.
Syahrul’s signing became a hot topic in the local football scene after the former Harimau Muda player opted to sign a contract with Sarawak despite FAM announcing that all players from the national youth side will be required to return to their home state.
