EXCLUSIVE: Sarawak unlikely to sign Miller & Jeremy

Looks like the rumours of Sarawak possibly signing both Liam Miller (photo) and Jeremy Russel Brockie might not come true after a source close to SarawakCrocs.com said that the duo are way too expensive for the Crocs.

The source added that while there is interest to get Jeremy and Liam over to Kuching, the high fees imposed have hampered such move with Liam said to be on his way to Sabah instead.

It is not known how much both players would cost Sarawak FA, but checks online do reveal that Liam himself would cost the Crocs a whopping GBP660,000 (RM3,504,998) in 2013, while Jeremy would cost the Crocs GBP528,000 (RM2,803,998) if signed.

Any one of either Liam’s or Jeremy ‘s value is almost double the current valuation of any foreign Sarawak player with Gabor Gyepes valued at GBP220,000 (RM1,168,332), Ryan Griffith coming at GBP264,000 (RM1,401,999) and Muamer Salibasic listed at GBP176,000 (RM934,666).

According to our source in Sabah, Liam will also not be signing for Sabah either although the midfielder did go to Sabah FA this year to see the Rhinos in training. The news about Miller and his affiliation with Sabah FA,  was further backed by our friends from SabahRhinos.com, who also clarified that Liam had never attended any kind of trial with the North Borneo team.  In fact, SabahRhinos.com said that they thought Liam would be playing for Sarawak instead.

Liam has however left his current team, the Brisbane Roar, after a mutual termination deal, and is said to be eyeing another team in Asia for his future undertaking.

The lucrative China Super League seems a possible destination, but as far as we know at SarawakCrocs.com, the Crocs of Sarawak are not on his list, unless the Sarawak FA (FAS) does decide to crack open their bank account and splurge on the former Man United midfielder.
