Yesterday’s friendly match against Liga FAM side, Kuching FA saw the Crocs testing a defender Dirkir Kohn Glay, from Liberia.
Dirkir’s last club was Indonesian side Persiba Balikpapan, in which he was a regular feature in the side, and was even nominated by website Goal.com Indonesia as one of the best players in the Indonesian league.
In yesterdays match, Dirkir showed great character, making him a prime candidate to be signed as David Usop’s latest defender, replacing countryman Teah Dennis.
According to football statistic site footballdatabase.eu, Dirkir had previously played in South Africa and Kenya, before he decided to play in Indonesia.
His record shows that he was a regular in all his team, and was also selected to play for Liberia in the World Cup Qualifiers.
Shall Dirkir be signed, he would be Sarawak’s third Liberian signed by the Crocs in the span of two years.
