The Crocs will likely sign Croatian Mateo Roskam, after the striker struck the net twice against against Liga FAM side Kuching FA yesterday, during a training pre-season friendly.
Mateo formerly played for Sime Darby FC, before he left to join Singapore side Tampines Rovers, in which he scored eight goals from 30 appearances. His scoring record with Sime Darby was not sparkling as well, hitting the net nine times from 28 appearances.
Aged at 29 years, Mateo previously played in Europe with Croatian sides like Široki Brijeg, NK Zagreb and Slaven Belupo, with a two year stint with Spanish side Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa.
Nonetheless, it is not the goals he scores for his previous team that counts as Mateo looked to have gelled nicely with Mark Hartmann yesterday during the game.
That said, with time for Sarawak FA to sign a new player running out, it is likely that Mateo will be the Crocs latest signing.
