We have just obtained confirmation that Ian Gaillan is indeed the head coach and new technical director of the Sarawak FA.
The news was leaked by a local facebook based fan site yesterday, but we have firm information confirming the news is real and very much correct with our sources saying that the Australian was already in town.
A fan who declined to be named, also reported to us that he had met Ian in a local hotel here, stating that the hotel staff had informed him that the Ian has been in town for a few months for now.
Our source from a local company here which is close to us had also informed us that Ian was sign with a two year contract, and that he was offered the post by the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) when the season ended for Sarawak FA.
While we are indeed excited to hear the latest developments coming out of Stadium Negeri, we would however like to caution our readers that what we are telling you here is just based on our very reliable sources, and you will still need to wait for the official announcement from FAS for any confirmation.
Nonetheless, this is indeed exciting news for Sarawak football fans as this shows ambition within Sarawak football.
