Kedah FA’s former ace striker Billy Osman Mehmet has confirmed himself that he will don the great black and red colours of Sarawak FA next season.
The news which was revealed by Billy over his personal twitter account @Billy_Mehmet comes in light of speculations by a local newspaper that his signing has yet to be finalized.
Interestingly, our sources have confirmed his signing a couple of weeks ago, with the same source also mentioning that Billy has signed a MoU last night to secure his spot in the Crocs for 2015.
Today, our source told us that Billy would be heading back to Kedah to clear up his belongings for his move to Kuching, in which the Irish man would be very much joining Sarawak in their pre-season training next week.
With time to register a new foreign import coming soon, the management of Sarawak (FAS) will need to hurry in their bid to release Muamer Salibasic so that one more slot for an import player can be open for the signing of another foreign player.
From what we are seeing however, Ivan Fatic looks like a promising signing, although we have word that if FAS fails to sign the player by this week, he will be leaving for another team in Indonesia.
