Kuching City FC’s assistant head coach, Sulaiman Hussin didn’t mince his words about his teams’ performances following their 2 Liga Super defeat on Sunday as he blamed the team for their poor performances which attributed to the defeat.
Sulaiman during the post-match press conference said, “We didn’t play like we did in the previous matches, so we don’t deserve to win tonight.”
The experience assistant head coach added that Perak FC deserved their win following his players dismal performances and added that his players made a lot of mistakes during the match.
“Perak played much better. We made a lot of mistakes. To simply put it, we don’t deserve to win. We played very badly”
Sulaiman continued to vent his frustration towards the team’s performances by adding that the team didn’t have any key chances or moments, adding that players were just ‘hoping for something’ which never happened.
“Our attack was not dangerous. We just waited and hoped for something. You can’t do that in football. You must have moments. We don’t have such moments.”
Sulaiman also rebuked anyone who claimed injuries was the cause of the defeat, stating again that his team doesn’t deserve the full three points for the match.
“Well, we do have injuries as such, but that’s no excuse for the performance. We don’t deserve a win tonight.”
The frustrated assistant head coach concluded his comments on the match by saying that they should have not dropped points against Perak FC and felt that it was a missed opportunity to do so.
Kuching City FC lost 2-1 to Perak FC in their Liga Super encounter last Sunday, further cementing their position at the lower ranks of the league for this season with just 6 points after 16 matches.
