Sarawak’s Ashri Chuchu has admitted that he has received offers to join a few ‘big teams’ in the peninsular of Malaysia, but stated that he does not want to think of it just yet. The offers are said to have come from JDT and Selangor FA.
According to Ashri, he is currently concentrating on his form for Sarawak FA next season, and prefers to play for his home state than any other team. The youngster added that there are a lot of reasons to consider before he makes a move outside of Sarawak.
Ashri seems to be considered a fringe player at Stadium Negeri this season with the young winger playing second fiddle to S. Chanturu under the reign of Robert Alberts.
The Lawas born player however has earned enough stars to be brought into the national under-23 squad, with its coach Ong Kim Swee, claiming that the youngster is a gifted player and is important to his plans.
