Sarawak FA head coach, Anai Igang has commended his teams performances despite their 2-1 defeat.
The former assistant to Robert Alberts was quoted as saying so by newspaper Utusan Borneo.
According to Anai, “I am satisfied with the overall performance of the team, and the young players in particular as they played confidently particularly in the second half”.
Anai also said that Sarawak could have won the game yesterday but both Bobby Gonzales and Nur Shamie Iszuan were denied by the post.
Looking ahead, Anai is hopeful that Sarawak can win against Pulau Pinang FA when his team entertains them at Stadium Negeri this Saturday.
Due to the defeat, Sarawak is now third from the bottom in the Liga Premier.
