A credible source to SarawakCrocs.com has revealed that Norshahrul Idlan Talaha, more famous with the name ‘Mat Yo’ is interested to don the Crocs colours for 2016.
According to our source, the winger has already made contact with ‘people with power’ in the Crocs, and is making negotiations about his possible transfer to Sarawak from Terengganu.
Mat Yo started his career with Perak, before finding himself moving to Perak, Negeri Sembilan, and UPB-MyTeam FC. He made quite an impression during his two year stint at Kelantan, prompting cash-rich JDT to entice him to Johor Darul Takzim.
Nonetheless, in 2014, Mat Yo had a fall out with the management and found himself transferring to ATM FA before finally settling for Terengganu in 2015.
The 29 year old midfielder has been playing for the Malaysian National team since 2003 and is no stranger to Sarawak’s new head coach K. Rajagopal who will be taking over the helm of the team on the 1st of December. Before this, Mat Yo had also gained interest of Korean side Incheon United.
While the news seems exciting, it was also recently revealed that Mat Yo has extended his contract with Terengganu early this month for the coming season, making us believe that the move is likely not successful unless Sarawak FA decides to buy out his contract, which we think is very unlikely too.
