Teams having players involved in the SEA Games football squad coached by Frank Bernhardt have in principal agreed to allow their players to be released and train under the national team, three month before the tournament.
The move comes after Bernhardt complained that Malaysia will not get a gold medal in football if the current training structure is continued.
Aside from that, selected players would also be called for twice for centralize training, with the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) planning a few more friendly matches as preparation for the games intensifies.
It is reported that Bernhardt is happy with the decision which was made during a meeting this week.
