Kuching City secured the signing of former Sarawak United winger, Zahrul Nizwan bin Joe Kipli a few weeks ago.
According to the club’s official Facebook page, the 26 year old hails from Labuan, with records online showing that he had previously also played with defunct Sarawak FA in 2019.
Aside from that, Soccerway.com also claims that the winger has scored one goal during his professional career with the Golden Hornbills.
There is little information on Zahrul aside from the ones stated above, but Kuching City’s intention to fortify their midfield with Zahrul can be seen as clear signs The Cats are keen to make an impact during their maiden season of the Liga Super.
In case you missed it, Kuching City is the only Sarawak based team in the Liga Super for the coming 2023 season.
This comes after another team which qualified for the league, Sarawak United, had to drop to the Liga M3 after failing to obtain the Football national license.
