Syahrul Azwari’s status with the Crocs has so far been confirmed, and the striker has expressed his relief that the issue is now over.
According to Syahrul, the end of the issue now allows him to focus on his career with the Crocs, and the up-coming game against PDRM FA, which will be played at Stadium Hang Jebat, Melaka.
The 23-year old striker admitted that he is ‘touched’ by the faith given by the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) towards him, and is looking forward to repaying the faith by his performance on the field.
He however doesn’t want to make more promises except that he will give his all for the team and the fans.
Syahrul’s transfer to Sarawak became a heated issue in the local football scene after the Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) claimed the signing was illegal.
The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) later decided that KAFA was right, and forced FAS to return Syahrul to KAFA.
However, FAS and KAFA recently struck an agreement to allow Syahrul to play for Sarawak on a loan basis, ending the highly followed saga.
