SUKMA: Sarawak women’s football crash out of games

Sarawak SUKMA women’s football team crashsed out of the SUKMA Women’s football competition after they were defeated 3-0 by neighbour, Sabah.

The match was watched by Malaysia Sports Minister Hannah Yeo, with a bumper Sarawak crowd coming to support the team.

The home side however failed to capitalize on the home support as they allowed Sabah to lead 1-0 at half time, before ending the match with two more conceeds.

Sabah’s win means the North Borneo side will advance to the semi-finals of the SUKMA Women’s football competition which will be played on 20th August 2024.

In the semi finals, Sabah will meet Wilayah Persekutuan, with Selangor setting a date with Pahang in the other semi finals.

All matches will be played at Stadium Negeri.
