It may be something usual to showcase flags of a nation in an English Premier League game, but seeing the Sarawak flag being shown at Spurs White Hart Lane, during a live TV coverage of Spurs vs Manchester City stirred social media users in Sarawak.
The flag flown by two unknown individuals were spotted behind the goal post of Manchester City during the first half of the game, and photos of the image quickly made its way to social media. When the second half resumed, it was seen that two Sarawak flags were at the stands.
It is believed that the individuals showing the flag are friends of English based Junior Eldstal, whom just recently signed for Sarawak FA.
The photos gained much mention by social media users, with Sarawakians saying they are proud of seeing their flag on a live EPL match.
