Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB), the power tycoon of Sarawak, has refreshed their sponsorship for the Crocs this season. The commitment by SEB was made at a ceremony held last Monday at the SEB headquarters at Kuching Ithmus.
According to SEB, they hope that their sponsorship would help unite Sarawakians irregardless of where they are, and that they see their sponsorship as a way to get closer to the people of Sarawak.
SEB also hopes that Sarawak would have a positive season, while noting that they are more than happy to sponsor the Crocs when they were approached last season.
It is not known how much SEB pours into the coffers of the Crocs, but speculations last season claim that the two year sponsorship contract runs into the millions. The sponsorship which begins last December 2013 saw SEB’s logo printed on the front of every Sarawak jersey, although it was later changed to just featuring the SEB name in 2015 after rumours came out that the company was not happy with the ‘distorted’ logo last season.
