Sarawak emphasising on ‘tiki taka’ under Fuad

Sarawak has been more busy with training lately under their interim coach Fuad Grbersic.

According to an informant, the Crocs are now also asked to come and train at night with friendly matches arranged at night with local sides.

Another observer who went to see the Crocs train had also mentioned to us that Fuad is deploying fast attacking with short passing, likening it to Barcelona’s ‘tiki taka’ game play. ‘Tiki Taka’ is a style of play in football characterised by short passing and out of zone movement, awareness of space on the field, and an emphasis on teamwork.

The observer who declined to be named also added that several local players, including the newly drafted youngsters are adapting to the new tactics well.

Fuad has been known to deploying an interesting method of play in his team with many commending the interesting game play used by his former side, the youth side of Sarawak.

Nonetheless, his tactics and ability would be highly tasted at Malaysia’s top level football when his new team, the Sarawak FA meets cash rich Johor Darul Ta’zim this coming 1st August.
