The Crocs started their Ramadan friendly match in West Malaysia with a win over Liga Super side PKNS FC.
Starting with what could be Sarawak’s top eleven players, the Crocs struggled in the first half of the match with the Crocs still looking very shaky at the defense, despite the presence of Teah Baysah Dennis.
PKNS proved the more dangerous in the first half of the game with Shahurain and Nazrin easily beating the defences of Sarawak with their impressive runs.
Shakir Ali almost put PKNS in front in the first half but his shot hit the post.
The Crocs however got their winning goal courtesy of Junior Aparecido in the first half of the game when the Timor Leste international secured a good lay off from Ndumba Makeche, before scoring a screamer with his outside foot, beating PKNS’s third choice goalkeeper, Hairol Fazreen.
The second half of the game saw David Usop introducing Shahril Saári, Dzulazlan Ibrahim, Shahrol Speri, Hafiz Saperi, Nur Akmal and Partiban, but none could produce any goals.
Both teams failed to dominate the second half with none able to produce threatening shots on goal for the game to end with the solitary goal giving the Crocs the win of the night.
Sarawak will play Liga Premier side next to conclude their friendly game schedule in West Malaysia.
