Sarawak FA will take on Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) FC II at Stadium Sarawak on Saturday with Nur Shamie Iszuan likely to start.
According to a report by Utusan Borneo, Shamie is making progress in recovery following an injured ankle last month but looks set to play against JDT FC II.
The paper quoted Sarawak FA Assistant Head Coach Denny Da’ail as saying that Shamie is now joining the team’s training and the coaches are monitoring his progress with hope he could feature in this coming match.
On more concerning note, Sarawak’s tough defender Pedro Henrique is a no starter this weekend as he will be suspended.
Pedro has collected three yellow cards in the Liga Malaysia and needs to sit out of the important match to fulfill his suspension requirements.
The absence of Pedro will likely be a huge blow to the Sarawak team which will be hoping to secure at least one point from their first match at Stadium Sarawak.
Pedro’s absence however means that the task at hand had just become so much more difficult as JDT are currently second in the Liga Premier and are hoping to distance themselves from Sabah FA which is just breathing down their neck
Sarawak play JDT at 10PM this Saturday.
