The final list of Piala Presiden players had been released.
The list was finalized from 42 hopefuls previously, to 25 players for the Piala Presiden 2019.
All the 25 players passed the selection which was conducted since 7th January 2019. The selection was done in stages for four days in the new Piala Presiden base which is in Miri.
The selection was lead by their Head Coach, Abdul Jalil Ramli, and was assisted by Pengiran Bala (Assistant Head Coach) & Abu Bakar Amran (Assistant Coach).
Team Manager, Nazri Datuk Ahmad Lai mentioned that the Piala Presiden campaign will start on 21st February until 15th July this year.
Quarter finals of the tournament will kick off on 22nd July and run until 31st July 2019, followed by the semi finals on 6th August until 12th August.
The Finals will be a two-legged finals played on 7th September and 14th September.
Nazri believed that all 25 players selected are capable of delivering the goods and drive the team to be the eventual winners of the Piala Presiden 2019.
Fans are hoping to see good display from the Piala Presiden team as these are the talents that will bolster the senior squad for the future.
Previously, Sarawak had produced players like Rodney Ackwensivie, Joseph Kalang, Ashri Chuchu and many more through their Piala Presiden team.
It is hoped that the leadership of Jalil Ramli would help this new team perform to their potential and bring cheers to the fans across Sarawak.
