Romanian to fill Ronald’s spot?

Utusan Sarawak today reported that a defender named Bogdan Vasile Panait has arrived in Kuching to try his luck in getting Ronald Hikspoor’s job at the heart of the Sarawak defences.

Bognan, a 31-year old defender, will join the Crocs for training tomorrow as he tries to impress Robert Alberts to make his stay in Kuching permanent.

According to records online, Bognan played only one game for Steaua Bucureşti, and spent most of his time with second division side SC Vaslui, where he played over 100 games, scoring eight times. Aside from SC Vaslui, Bognan also played trade with CS Otopeni (loan), CSMS Iași (loan), FC Tiraspol and FC Otopeni.

In 2014, the 189cm player played joined second division Dunărea Galaţi where he played for 1316 minutes, while his achievements with his last club in Cyprus, Aris, failed to be found.

Bognan is a known name in European football, and he plays with his left foot. Shall he impress Robert Alberts, his signing would likely be smooth as Bognan fits the ruling set by FAM to sign a foreign player in Malaysia.

Aside from Bognan, another unknown Romanian player is also said to be in Kuching, hoping to win Robert’s heart with his talents.
