Robert Alberts was all smiles at Jalan Besar last night after his side picked one point which meant that they would still be in the Malaysia Super League next season.
The Dutchman shared that his charges have reached their target for the season, which is to stay at the Super League, after only securing promotion to the top flight last season.
Roberts said “With the result, we keep them (LionsXII) four points behind us and we are safe for the MSL [this season], we’ve reached our target,”.
The head coach of Sarawak also said that he is happy with the point at Jalan Besar while saying that it is never easy to play away in Singapore.
The coach also praised his defenders for their sturdy defending which never allowed Lions much space through the game.
