Real Malaysia Premier League trophy heading to Sarawak!

Inside sources, as well as news reports have confirmed heavy rumours that Sarawak will be able to lift the real Malaysia Premier League trophy shall they beat Kuala Lumpur tomorrow at the 21st league game in the second tier league of Malaysian football.

According to reports, the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has given the nod to bring the trophy to the State Stadium accompanied by a special delegation from the national body.

Shall Sarawak beat Kuala Lumpur tomorrow, or if Sime Darby FC fail to register a win against UiTM FC, the Crocs will officially be crowned the Premier League champions for 2013, ending a 15 year spell without silverware for the East Malaysian side, which last won the Charity Shield in 1998, and the Premier League, which was then the highest competitive league in the nation in 1997.

Nonetheless, unlike the league success in 1997 where the Crocs had to celebrate the glory with a cardboard cut-out of the trophy, this time FAM is indeed smart to make early preparations so that a perfect celebration can happen at the final whistle.

The State Stadium which has a maximum capacity of 26,000 is expected to be packed to the brim as tickets to the Sarawak versus Kuala Lumpur are reported to be selling like hot cakes at official ticketing outlets.

Fans are advised to come early in red to the stadium, and avoid bringing prohibited items. An official from Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) has also requested that fans come with the Sarawak flag, and fly the flag high when the State anthem is played before the game.

The game kick-offs at 8:15PM.
