Preview: Sarawak FA vs Pahang FA

An epic battle is set at Stadium Negeri today with both Sarawak and Pahang eager to join Kelantan FA for the final match of the season in the Malaysia Cup finals.

The task seems daunting for the home side which will need defend well, and score over two goals to be in the Finals.

Pahang have also gave warning that they are not coming to Kuching to defend, but rather increase their lead with an all out assault on the Crocs from the start of the game.

But Robert Alberts and the fans of Sarawak remain optimistic over the whole situation with many believing that the 2-0 lead held by Pahang would be written off in the enigmatic Stadium Negeri.

In fact, the optimism of the home crowd was clearly reflected with the massive ticketing fiasco which happened last Thursday and Friday.

But the Crocs will need more than home advantage to defeat Pahang as the Elephants boast of speedy and talented wingers in Surendran Ravindran & Gopinathan Ramanchandra.

Both players proved vital in ‘donating’ wonderful crosses to Mohd Azamuddin Md Akil in the first leg, with Matias Conti a dangerous man shall he be allowed to run free.

Pahang also boast of a rock solid defense with both, Muamer Salibasic and Bobby Gonzales needing to find ways to break the organized defense led by Damion Steward. The lack of creativity and ability shown by both players in the first leg needs urgent rectification shall the Crocs want any chance of winning this game by a huge margin.

Nonetheless, not all is bad news for the Crocs as Joseph Kallang and Ronny Harun is back in the starting line-up.

Both players were indeed missed by the Crocs as the defence line of Sarawak crumbled in less than ten minutes to give the team known as the Elephants three goal.

With that said, the game tomorrow would be highly charged, and we expect a lot of goals from Stadium Negeri.
