Sarawak went all out for the win against favourites Selangor but failed to put themselves in the final eight last night after they only managed a draw at the 80,000 Stadium Shah Alam.
The Crocs, under the guidance of David Usop started with a few tactical changes, notably David’s decision to leave out Ivan Fatic and Billy Mehmet who are key imports for the Sarawak side.
Despite the questionable decision, Sarawak took the lead in the game with a hardworking run by J Partiban tapped in easily by Ashri Chuchu in the 22nd minute of game.
The Crocs joy however was short lived when Afiq Azmi punished Fadzley Rahim’s carelessness in front of goal to give the home side the needed equalizer.
Both sides from then on exchanged attacks, but with both sides equally stubborn at defense, the score remained level until the final whistle.
The draw meant the Crocs bow out of the Malaysia Cup and end the season with no silverware for the season.
