There was indeed a huge party atmosphere at Plaza Merdeka Kuching as the players of Sarawak walked into the shopping mall to join in the Piala Malaysia roadshow organized by ASTRO.
Fans of the team, well dressed in the traditional red and black colours, greeted all players with chants and songs as the players made their way into the mall for a brief session scheduled for the tour.
Outside, traffic came to a standstill as the fans drove in to the mall to seek parking to check out both the Malaysia Cup which was on display, as well as their heroes which came.
A fan known as Danny said “The cup is here, and from how it looks standing at Plaza Merdeka today, we are quite sure that it will return home this coming 3rd November”.
Danny was one of the five whom we interviewed that stated something similar about the return of the Malaysia Cup after the tour.
Spirits in Sarawak are on a record high with thousands of fans willing to make expensive travel arrangements to catch the Crocs play Pahang both in Kuching and Kuantan for the semi finals, with many more already purchasing air tickets to Shah Alam for the finals.
