Sarawak’s playmaker, Joseph Kallang Tie said that the team’s playing tour in Semenanjung will be a good testing ground for him and his teammates to assess their capabilities and performance against the Super League teams.
“We need the exposure to get ourselves acclimatise to the Super League teams and thus the three planned matches in our Semenanjung tour will be a good testing ground for us,” said Joseph Kallang Tie when contacted recently.
“This year’s Malaysia Cup tournament will start on Aug 20 and thus the tour will also be a valuable warm-up matches for me and my colleagues,” he added.
Sarawak will take on Selangor PKNS on July 24,Harimau Muda B on July 27 and their last away friendly will be against top Super League team, ATM on July 31.
The Sarawak fans will also have the chance to see the Sarawak
players play against a Kuching Selection on August 4 at the State Stadium.
Meanwhile, Sarawak skipper, Shahrol Saperi said their trip to Semenanjung will also be a venue where the coach can put to use new ideas and team work.
“The Semenanjung tour is no sight-seeing trip for us,” he said.
