MUAMER DISAPPOINTED WITH FAS’ ACTION

Striker, Muamer Salibasic said he is disappointed with the Football Association of Sarawak when contacted by us.

The former top striker for Sarawak said that he noticed something was amiss when head coach Ian Gillan didn’t shake his hand or talk to him upon arriving at the training grounds, adding that this was strange considering he was to play under him if selected.

According to Muamer, the lack of hospitality from Gillan was a clear indication he was not welcomed in the team, and he was even more shocked when he was later informed by someone that a decision has been made on the foreign imports way before his arrival, and some players have already gone for medicals.

This news corraborates our previous story that FAS had already signed their import players before the so called ‘trials’.

Uncertain about by the news, Muamer claimed he then approached officials from FAS, namely a person called ‘Rahman’ who he claimed is the commercial director of FAS and also Razali Dolhan, the General Secretary of FAS for clarification, but no reply was made.

Muamer further claims that apart from meeting Dato Posa and Rahman, with three other men, believed to be fans, at Pullman on 2nd January, there has been little to no contact in regards to his enquiries about if import players were already selected before he came.

Muamer said during that innitial meeting, he was told the spot for imports was still available and up for grabs.

According to Muamer, he is hugely disappointed with FAS actions and felt that FAS only brought him in for trials ‘as a show’ to fans.

He also admitted that fans innitiative played a huge role in him coming back to Kuching.

Muamer also stated that he has nothing to hide and has enough proof to back his words, adding further that he is done with FAS which he feels ‘is not professional, and is even worst than when he left a couple of years before”.

It will be interesting now to see how this issue will pan out, and how FAS would respond, as the possible return of Muamer to the team was well received by a majority of fans when it was made known.
