JDT will be relishing the prospect to overcome Sarawak at Stadium Negeri when the two clash for the last time in the Super League this season.
The Southern Tigers need to beat Sarawak because it is assured that PKNS FC, an affiliate under Selangor FA, would give in to the Red Giants at Shah Alam Stadium.
But Sarawak has every intention to be a party spoiler in JDT’s title hopes as the team welcomes the return of several regulars including Ryan Griffith and S Chanturu, whom has been influential to the Crocs scoring abilities of late.
Muamer Salibasic however remains doubtful, but the Crocs would be enjoying the return of Ronny Harun at the defence although he was weirdly put at the bench against Selangor in the last game against Selangor.
The midfield of Sarawak will most certainly see a change with Joseph Kalang expected to start after being left out of the starting line-up against Selangor, while Junior Eldstal would most probably retain his favourite possition as a defensive midfielder.
JDT will be out to show their star players are more than just a name as they look to tip over the 1-1 draw written in Larkin Stadium in the first leg of the league.
Hundreds of JDT supporters have already been reported to be in the Sarawak capital to celebrate what could be a league championship victory for the southern Malaysian side.
Luciano Figueroa will definately start tonight as Bojan Hodak puts up his best men to fight for the full three points. Others which will most probably feature are national players such as Norshahrul Idlan Talaha, Safiq Rahim, Shakir Shaari and Mahali Jasuli.
But JDT’s poor record at Stadium Negeri is something Bojan might be wary about since the Southern Tigers have not won in Stadium Negeri since 2011. To add to that is the fact that the Crocs have not been defeated at home, with Pahang, FA champions, only managing to steal a point from their visit, despite the fact that they needed the full points to challenge for the title.
That said, all eyes are indeed at Stadium Negeri with Sarawak playing a vital role in determining who will be crowns champions of the Super League.
We expect a hard and interesting game, with the Crocs, perhaps popping JDT’s anxiety of being champions at the very last minute.
