The Crocs are looking to score an away win at Stadium Ipoh today as they visit Perak FA, the same team which trashed them 4-1 in the Super League recently.
Sarawak will be without Ramesh Lai, but Ronny Harun (photo) and Mafry Balang might make the cut as both return from their respective suspensions.
Sarawak head coach Robert Alberts is expected to improve his sides defending which leaked two goals from their previous match, but other departments should remain largely the same.
Perak on the other hand would want to also improve their chances in the Malaysia Cup as the young side prepares to frustrate the likes of Ryan Griffith and S Chanturu who leads Sarawak’s attacking force.
Marco Tulio would be the man to watch from the home side as the Brazillian midfielder is a wizard at opening play when provided ample space to move.
Another dangerous player the Crocs need to watch for is Milan Purović, who scored Perak’s Malaysia Cup opener against Kedah. The tall center forward is not only deadly with his headers, but also able to take the slightest of chances for a goal.
Both Sarawak and Perak have met each other countless times but the visitors have not won in Stadium Ipoh since 2004, making a win at Stadium Ipoh even more significant shall it happen.
Sarawak play Perak tonight at 8:45PM with live telecast available in HD at ASTRO Channel 802. For live play by play updates, follow us on Twitter at @SarawakCrocs.
