The Malaysian Football League (MFL) has created a Media Monthly Award (MMA) to recognize the role of the local media in the developing football in Malaysia.
The award would see winners take home RM500 cash and a trophy.
According to a report by BERNAMA, the categories for the monthly awards are Best Print Media, Best Online Report, Best Electronic Media, and Best Photo.
MFL chief executive officer, Kevin Ramalingam said “The media plays an important role in the progress of football. They are the connecting medium to the supporters and an important element in local football.”
He also extended his hope that the MMA can boost the morale of the media practitioners to turn out more positive reports involving national football.’
The first winners of the monthly award was given out this week.
