MATCH REPORT: Sarawak 1 – 0 KL SPA

About ten thousand fans left Stadium Negeri Sarawak a little disappointed as their favourite team only managed a one goal win over a less fancies KL SPA FC tonight.

The Crocs started the game aggressively, but it was former Sarawak player Guy Bwele who stole the show with neat tackles and an impressive display of midfield dictation.

Failing to control the midfield proved costly for the Crocs as KL SPA controlled the pace of the game, leaving the Crocs with wild passes which ended no where.

Nonetheless, in the 33rd minute, a good cross in the box by seasoned defender Ronny Harun erupted Stadium Negeri with Australian born Ryan Griffith delighting the home crowd with a stunning header into the back of the net.

Sarawak picked up their pace from then on, but the heroics of former Sarawak goalkeeper Mahathir Mohammed kept the score level until half time.

At the restart, the Crocs threw more attacking options up-front but Mahathir yet again denied the Crocs any additions to the scoreline.

The Crocs made massive change of personnel in 66th minute, but that failed to change the scoreline of the night with the final score remaining 1-0 for the Crocs until the final whistle.
